How to Import a Database Using phpMyAdmin

Steps to Import a Database

1. Select your database
   From the left-hand panel, choose the empty database where you want to import your data
2. Open the Import tab
   Click on the Import tab from the top menu

3. Upload your database file

   • Click on Choose File
   • Select the database backup file from your computer (usually in .sql format)

   Note:
   The default upload limit for phpMyAdmin is 150 MB. If your database file is larger, please contact our support team for assistance with the import.

4. Start the import
   Click Go to begin the import process
5. Confirmation
   Once completed, you will see a success message and your database will be populated with the imported data

Important Notes

• Ensure the database is empty before importing to avoid conflicts
• Verify that your backup file is not corrupted
• Large databases may take a few minutes to import
